ICYDK – Madness Continues, Home Values Increase, & Mick & Schmick’s Gone

For many, March Madness ended yesterday when our last team, the Oregon State Women were eliminated, but there is more action locally, as two more games happen at the Moda Center this afternoon.  And this just in, they’ve even decided to have the correct 3-point lines today, something they apparently weren’t worried about the last few games!

The list of towns in Oregon where home prices have gone up the most has been released, and there are only 4 towns in the Portland metro that are on there.  So if you bought a house 5 years ago in Gaston, Raleigh Hills, the West Slope, or highest on the list, Amity, congratulations, you’re rich.  On paper.  Everything still costs a lot.

And finally, the end of an era happened yesterday in Portland, one of our most-famous restaurant chains closed its doors for good.  McCormick & Schmick’s Harborside restaurant was the last Mick & Schmick’s in Portland.  There’s still one in Tigard, and a few across the country, but the city where it all began…  no more prom nights for you.
