ICYDK – New Billionaires, A Non-Eclipse, & Baby Condors

By now you’ve probably heard…  we have a new billionaire living among us.  A $1.3B Powerball ticket was sold in NE Portland, and as far as we know, has not been claimed.  Now, here’s the thing…  in Oregon, you can’t remain anonymous; it’s the law.  So we do get to know, and now might be a good time to “check in” on your NE friends, just in case.

A total solar eclipse happens today in America…  just not here.  We’re gonna get a partial eclipse, right around 25% or so, which would absolutely be cool to see…  if the clouds disappear, which actually could happen a little bit.  Basically if you’ve still got your eclipse glasses from 2017, wander outside between 10:30 & noon today and see if you get lucky.

And finally, if none of your friends won a billion dollars and the clouds don’t move, console yourself by taking a trip to the zoo, where there are new babies to see.  The first California Condors of the year have hatched, and make plans ot see them while they are still fuzzballs buppin’ around, because these birds do not get cuter as they get bigger.
