ICYDK – Self-Serve Gas, ODOT Out Of Money, New Trolley Service
The Self-Serve Gas Bill has passed the legislature, and it is on Governor Kotek’s desk, but she is holding off on signing it. She says she’s got a lot to get to before that bill, but in the meantime, wants to hear… what do we think about it? She’s set up a website where you can make your comments.
Speaking of the governor, she put a stop to the potential tolling on I-205, and because of that, ODOT is out of money. They were kinda counting on that toll money, and they said so, but it was pretty unpopular. So keep an eye on that… funds are gonna have to come from elsewhere.
Also on the subject of transportation, you can make it a little easier and more fun to go to Multnomah Falls this summer on the Waterfall Trolley. One is an enclosed shuttle that allows you to avoid the hassle of the timed permit and is a quick trip, and the other is an open-air one that travels along the old highway.
