ICYDK – Timbers & Tillamook, Money To Matisse, & Oregon’s Best BBQ

Goodbye Alaska Airlines, hello Tillamook!  The Portland Timbers have unveiled their new jersey sponsor, and the fans are into it.  Tillamook Cheese Factory will be the sponsor for multiple years, so get your new one now.  I’ve always thought it was weird that soccer teams do this, and the word Timbers isn’t even on there, but they do, and this was a good pick.

An exhibition called Monet to Matisse is coming to the Portland Art Museum in June, featuring original works by Monet, Degas, Cézanne, Renoir, a bunch of names you have probably heard of, and this would probably be a super-classy Tinder date; just be sure to be super over-the-top when saying things like Renoir.  Just really hit the French; it’ll make you seem smart.

And finally, congratulations to Matt’s BBQ in NoPo for coming in Yelp’s Top BBQ joints for 2024.  As you can see by this map, the NW is not exactly a hotspot for BBQ on this list, so when one of our joints make the top 100, it must be pretty good.  Matt’s came in #31 on the list, with brisket being what they’re known for.  They do sell out every day, so go for breakfast.
