In Case You Didn’t Know – 05-30-2023

If you haven’t heard, the Hillsboro Hops are getting a new stadium, and they expect to open it up in 2025.  It’ll be built right next to the current stadium, and you can expect it to bring in a lot of money, and a lot of jobs to the area.  Baseball games yes, but also concerts & festivals and tons of other stuff.

Our heroes of the seas had a big rescue for Memorial Day yesterday.  Rescuers aboard a Coast Guard rescue boat got word of a vessel taking on water yesterday morning off of Coos Bay, and by tracing the cell phone of somebody on board, all three were pulled out of the water and treated for hypothermia.

And finally, if you’re a disc golfer, there’s a new course in Hockinson Meadows Community Park which opened late last week, making it the only 18-hole course in Clark County.  You can play it now, but they’re going to be shutting it down again in sections so they can install footpaths.  Happy discing!
