In Case You Didn’t Know – 06-05-2023

Just a few months away from Ritz-Carlton opening in Portland, which will make it Portland’s first 5-star hotel.  10th & Washington is where it stands, and when it opens, it will be come Portland’s 4th tallest building.  Of course, you or I can’t afford to stay there, or really even walk by it, but it’ll look cool in the skyline!

You ever played Roofball?  It was invented in 1989 here in Beaverton, OR, and a Reddit post spread it around a little bit, and now it’s a world-wide sport played by people all across the globe.  The annual championships will be broadcast this weekend on their YouTube page…  in case you don’t have 10 things better to do.

And finally, big week on the local waterways, Fleet Week starts tomorrow.  Two ships arrive tomorrow afternoon, one on Wednesday, and then the rest of the fleet arrives on Thursday, and they all leave Monday.  Come down and tour the ships, and listen to Danny’s show on Thursday as Danny & I will be riding in with the fleet.
