‘Onward’ Tops Worst Box Office Weekend in 25 Years
Concerns over COVID-19 have made a big impact on the global box office. In fact, this weekend’s top ten combined for an estimated $50.3 million, which is the lowest for this weekend since 1995. All the same, Disney-Pixar’s animated feature Onward held on to the top spot, bringing in $10.5 million dollars in ticket sales. The Christian-themed romance I Still Believe opened this weekend at #2, making $9.5 million dollars. The Valiant comics film, Bloodshot, also opened this weekend, claiming the third-highest spot with $9.3 million in ticket sales. The Elizabeth Moss-starrer The Invisible Man settled in at the #4 slot with $6 million in box office returns, and the controversial movie The Hunt made about $5.3 million in sales.
