Pumping Our Own Gas In Oregon?
There is a bill on the Oregon House floor (House Bill 4151) that would allow customers at Oregon’s gas pumps to elect whether to have their gas pumped for them, or pump it themselves.
There is a website dedicated to spreading support for the bill, called choiceatthepump.com.
Oregon is one of only two states that prevent its citizens from pumping their own gas. According to proponents, “isn’t it time Oregonians had a choice?”
