Big names in country music came together to encourage UNC health workers who are fighting on the frontlines of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Lisa Shiller, the chief communications and marketing officer for UNC Health Care reached out to Dave Rose, president, and CEO of Deep South Entertainment to help encourage her staff who have been dealing with the pandemic, and Rose and his artists were eager to help out.

Scotty McCreery knows first-hand what the health workers are going through, “Being married to a nurse, I know all the hard work, love and compassion you put in your jobs every single day,” he said in a video message to UNC staff.

“We stand in awe and gratitude for your commitment and your courage in this adverse time,” said Scott Avett. And Eric Church gave his thoughts to health care workers saying, “You guys are on the front lines. You’re risking your lives to save ours
