Taylor Swift to Drop Christmas-Themed Single on Friday at Midnight

Merry Swiftmas! Taylor Swift will reportedly drop a brand-new Christmas song on Friday at midnight Eastern Time. “Hey I know this is pretty wild, but I’ve just written a Christmas song,” Swift said in a selfie video shared on Thursday’s Good Morning America. “I feel like it’s weird to just wait a year to put it out.”

She then asks her cat, Meredith Grey, “Should I put out a Christmas song, like, now?” GMA’s Lara Spencer then added that Swift wrote the tune this past weekend, “turning it around in record time.” While the track’s audio drops Friday at midnight, its official music video is expected to premiere on Friday’s GMA.
