You Ever Miss A Celebrity Death?

Wait, that died a year ago?

I admit it; I make fun of people who don’t do any fact-checking before spreading news.  It takes relatively little effort to Google something that seems outrageous and see if it’s actually true or not.  So when I see people spreading misinformation, I tend to get in there and correct them, because misinformation is kind of a big deal these days.

But…  I fell for it last night.

I saw somebody post that Sean Connery died!  And I thought, “oh noooooo.  I liked him.”  Because who didn’t?  He was the epitome of cool for many years.  I loved The Rock, Entrapment, Finding Forrester, and any number of other movies that dude was in.  So his death hit me kinda hard last night.  I mourned him for a good 5 minutes or so.  I almost watched Just Cause, a movie I bought last week that I haven’t seen yet.  I was sad at the loss of Sean Connery.

Yeah.  That dude died like a year ago.  I just didn’t notice when it happened.  Or I did, and I didn’t file it into the permanent memory.

I guess I learned a lesson.  I’m still gonna judge people though.
